Malagosto
A small island off the coast of Venice, Italy. At first it was a small community during the Middle Ages, but then it got ransacked in 1380. Then it turned into a place for plague victims. Soon after it turned into a quarantine center, and then into a sanctuary for the insane. Finally it was bought by Scorpia from the Italian Government in 1987 for their training and assessment center. Their cover was a business center for lawyers, bankers and office managers. Though really, trainees on the island learned how to kill.
Ca' Vedova
Julia Rothman's home on the bank of the Grand Canal in Venice. Alex first arrived during a costume party and started to sneak around. This is where he first met Julia and Nile, her second hand man. Julia's house is very expensive and contains a genetically modified siberian tiger. Alex got trapped in a room that overflows when the canal does. Alex Rider barely escapes and never sees the mansion again.
Royal & General Bank
The secret headquarters of MI6, (but also a real bank) the Royal and General Bank contains a security guard secretly working for MI6, and an underground prison and interrogation room where Alex is brought after trying to murder Ms. Jones, one of the head opratives working for MI6. If you looked up, you could see the people walking overhead. All of the people working there are aware of their surroundings, and their importance to the security of MI6.
The Church of Forgotten Saints
The headquarters for Scorpia's plan, Invisible Sword. The curch worshipped strange saints like the saint of taxis. You could imagine why it was abandoned. Scorpia turned a part of the church into a command center for their project and modified the roof with hydraulic arms to open up. A hot air balloon was to be sent out of the roof to activate their destructive plan. The entire church gets destroyed when MI6 comes in guns ablazing, and tries to stop the balloon, but Alex beats them to it.
Cansanto Enterprise
A chemical factory working for Scorpia, this facility is nearly impenitrable. There are guards working 24-7, and there is only one way in, working there. They grow viruses that were being sold to Scorpia and that are being used for project Invisible Sword. Alex finds a way in by para jumping onto the roof of a building inside the facility. Inside, he meets Nile for the second time, and Nile blows the place up, but he brings Alex with him.
